Lunchboxly helps you plan around allergies — it can't guarantee food is safe.
Always check product labels yourself. Ingredients and manufacturing change without notice.
These terms apply when you use the Lunchboxly app. By agreeing to them you accept what is set out below. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
Lunchboxly is a planning tool. It suggests combinations of food for a school lunchbox, filters them against the allergies and dislikes you enter, and helps you plan a week and shop for it.
It is a convenience, not an authority. The decisions about what a child eats remain yours.
This is the most important section on this page.
The app filters recipes using an ingredient list that we maintain, and works out likely allergens from that list. That process can be wrong, and it cannot know anything about the specific products in your kitchen.
If a child has a severe or life-threatening allergy, do not rely on this app to keep them safe. Rely on labels, on your doctor or allergy specialist, and on your own judgement.
Nothing in Lunchboxly is medical advice, and nothing in it is a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. That includes the allergen filtering, the age-based guidance, any nutritional information, and the recipes themselves.
If you have questions about a child's allergies, diet, growth or health, speak to a doctor, dietitian or allergy specialist.
The app includes general guidance about foods that present a choking risk to younger children, and will avoid or flag some foods based on the age you enter.
This guidance is general. It cannot account for an individual child's chewing ability, eating habits, medical conditions or development. It is not a substitute for preparing food appropriately and supervising young children while they eat, both of which remain your responsibility.
Recipes, quantities, preparation times and storage notes are guidance based on typical conditions. You are responsible for preparing, storing, chilling, reheating and transporting food safely, including keeping cold food cold and hot food hot.
Follow food safety practice appropriate to your circumstances, and use your own judgement about whether food is still good to eat.
You can add your own recipes, and import one from a web page by pasting its address. When you do, the app fetches that page directly from that website and reads the recipe from it.
You are responsible for making sure you are entitled to use content you import, and for complying with the terms of the site you take it from. Imported and self-added recipes are stored on your device, are not reviewed by us, and are not checked for accuracy or safety by us.
The children's details you enter, the boxes you plan, the recipes you write and the photos you add are yours. We claim no rights over them.
We also have no access to them. As set out in our Privacy Policy, all of it is stored on your device and is never transmitted to us. One consequence is worth being plain about: if you lose your device or delete the app, we cannot recover your data, because we never had a copy.
Please do not attempt to break, misuse or interfere with the app, use it to infringe someone else's rights, or use it in a way that breaks the law.
We may update, change or discontinue the app or any part of it. We try to avoid breaking things that people rely on, but we do not guarantee that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of faults.
Lunchboxly is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, representations and guarantees that are not expressly set out in these terms, and we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the app — including any decision you make about what to feed a child.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited, at our option, to supplying the app again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
If these terms change in a way that matters, the version changes, and the app asks you to read and agree to them again the next time you open it. Minor wording fixes may be made without a new version.
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the courts of appeal from them.
